The Tanjung Rhu lies in the heart of the mosaic that personifies Tanjung Rhu's wild, scenic beauty. Enveloped in the shade of casuarinas it looks out onto the Andaman Sea flanked by a landscape of limestone caves and uninhabited islands. Located at the northernmost tip of Langkawi Island, set in 1,100 acres of natural wilderness at the Cape of Casuarinas, stands the Tanjung Rhu Resort. Close to all facilities yet exclusive, the resort's access to the rest of the island is relatively easy.  Tanjung Rhu sits on the northern tip of Langkawi - close to the Thai border. The Tanjung Rhu Resort is the only resort on this part of the island - ensuring its exclusivity and the privacy of its guests. The resort is located about 30 minutes by car from the Langkawi International Airport.

Accommodations

The easy-life charm of Tanjung Rhu echoes through the resort, tingeing the luxuries of a deluxe property, with a casual, unhurried ambience. Welcome drinks, fruit basket and cold towels is served to wish you ‘Selamat Datang’ (Welcome).
Guest have a choice of five types of rooms at the 137-room Tanjung Rhu Resort:

Each room is spacious, with timber floors and large windows, to take advantage of the tropical breeze and a choice of enchanting garden, pool or sea view for you. Employing the best of the Asian-Eastern influence, our decor is complemented with upholstery and drapes in soft Thai silk and pure Indian cotton fabrics. All rooms are equipped with LCD TV, DVD and compact disc player, private bar with coffee machine and oversized bath with separate shower. Bayu and Anjung rooms are equipped with dataport.

Restaurants & Bars

The Rhu - A restaurant that embodies the grace and elegance of the Casuarinas tree. This fine-dining restaurant has air-conditioned and alfresco sections - serving East-meets-West seafood cuisine, amidst the soft strains of a serenading string quartet.
Sands - Sands is an alfresco casual all-day dining restaurant offering local and western fare. This beachfront restaurant with ponds and ceiling fans, serves a variety of Malaysian and Western cuisine. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Saffron - This popular Eastern flavouring lives up to its name at this restaurant. This Mediterranean Restaurant is a popular spot any time of the day. Saffron also has an alfresco section with an unencumbered view of Tanjung Rhu's stunning sunsets.
BBQ Dinner on the Beach - Imagine, enjoying a romantic evening with your loved one, sipping champagne while watching the sun slowly setting across the far horizon, as far as the eye can see. The moon and star will then appear subtly to welcome the clear evening sky.
In-room Dining - Dine in privacy and in your own comfort where the setting is no different from dining in a restaurant.
Reading Room - A cool, quiet haven with a magnificent view, the Reading Room - besides being the venue of English Tea, or coffee, with hot scones, pastries and savouries - also browse through an extensive collection of books and magazine for your reading pleasure.

Star Gazing - From our vantage location near the equator, Tanjung Rhu Resort sees almost the entire celestial sphere. To exploit this and the fact that Langkawi has the clearest skies of West Malaysia, we offer a user-friendly telescope - the revolutionary Meade ETX with its brainy Autostar Computer Controller which will take you on a guided tour of the wondrous night skies over Langkawi.
Above Saffron - A popular spot to pass your time, before dinner, after dinner or at any time of the day. This fun sport is equipped with a pool table, a "foosball" table and a dart board for your leisurely use.
Mangrove River Boatride - This is an experience not to be missed! Prepare to be enthralled by the haunting beauty of the mangrove - among the country's oldest - at Tanjung Rhu. During a 2-hour boatride into the heart of the mangrove forest, you will be able to see wildlife of birds, small mammals and the diverse flora of the area.
Cave Exploration - Langkawi's limestone caves are geological masterpieces created over millions of years ago and Tanjung Rhu Resort offers guests a chance to get a close-up view of the caves. Explore some of the caves around Tanjung Rhu - each with its very own legend. Some are inhabited by bats while others have interesting and varied wildlife. All you need are binoculars, torchlight and an adventurous spirit!

Honeymoon:
All honeymooners will recive fruits, flowers and 1/2 bottle if champagne , Honeymooners staying more than 7 nights will get a free upgrade to a deluxe room or Lanai Room ( not applicable between December 20 and January 15.

Family:
For familys staying 7 nights between 01 May and 31 October and more they will get the 2nd room at half price.

Remarks:
The resort does not provide any Extra Bed, only Extra Matress is available for children below 12 years old.

Child Policy:
Except for Damai room, children below 12 yrs may be accommodate in either the Cahaya, the Bayu room category and Anjung at no extra charge. Extra mattress will be provided on complimentary basis (subject to availability).
Cahaya room can only accommodate a maximum of 01 child whereas the Bayu and Anjung rooms can accommodate up to a max of 02 children (below 12 yrs).
The Damai room's layout and interior furnishings make it extremely difficult to accommodate an extra person/children.

Standard Package:
Package inclusive of 2-ways transfer by coaster from Langkawi International Airport or Kuah Jetty.

All-Inclusive-Package:
All meals and non-alcoholic beverages are served at all of the restaurants and bars, inclusive of 24-hours In-Room Dining.  This benefit allows the guests to dine at their own time, ordering anything from the hotel comprehensive menus and buffets.  Consumptions of hotel's mini bar items are also inclusive & these items are replenished on a daily basis. (Package does not include consumption of alcoholic beverages, take-aways, and special dinner arrangements (e.g.: BBQ, Steamboat, Picnic Basket, etc.)
2-ways transfer by coaster from Langkawi International Airport or Kuah Jetty.
The resort also has an array of non-motorized water sports equipment, which can be used at no additional cost.

Second Room for Teenagers (13-19yrs):
These rates are applicable only for teenagers accompanying parents and should be based on original package taken by parents.
The room rates are based on per room per night basis for two teenagers.
