The mystical island of Langkawi is home to The Andaman at Datai Bay. Situated between the majestic Mat Cincang Range and the deep blue Andaman Sea, the RESORT has been built in the middle of a virgin tropical rainforest. Centuries old trees, many with huge buttress roots and jungle creepers envelope the resort creating a haven far from the bustle of city life. The Andaman, Langkawi is pleased to offer free Wireless Broadband Internet Access on a best effort basis in Guest Rooms, Lobby, Business Center, Games Room,  Poolside and The Restaurant.

Accommodations

The Andaman has 186 deluxe rooms and suites. Each is furnished with king or twin beds, minibar, coffee and tea making facilities, writing desk and chair, individually controlled air-conditioning, hairdryer, ceiling fan, in-room safety box and IDD telephone lines. Lanai rooms feature sunning decks with umbrella and are on the first floor. The Executive Suites, Malaysian Suite and Presidential Suite features king-size beds while the Japanese suite has twin beds. Each suite has one bedroom, a separate living area, spacious balcony and private bar. The Japanese and Malaysia suites are also decorated in authentic style.

Restaurants & Bars

The Restaurant - Located at level 1 (ground floor), overlooking the swimming pool. Open for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. Air-conditioned, restaurant or al-fresco dining on the terrace.
The Poolside Terrace - Relaxed and casual restaurant next to the poolside and overlooking the beachfront. Wood-fired pizza, complemented with Homemade desserts. Favourite cocktails, mocktails and wines are available from our extensive beverage and wine list.
The Poolside BBQ Terrace - Dinner Only. Themed dinners, BBQ nights at the Poolside BBQ Terrace.
The Beach Bar - Located next to the beach and with spectacular views of Datai Bay and The Andaman Sea. Serves cocktails, mocktails, light snack menu, wine list and cigars.
The Lobby Lounge - Located on the main lobby level 3, the open-air lounge with views of the swimming pool and the rainforest canopy. Cocktails, wine, light snack menu available. Resident 4-piece band.
The Japanese Restaurant  - Dinner Only. Overlooking the swimming pool - authentic Japanese cuisine, including favourites like Sushi, Sashimi or Tempura.
The Gulai House - Dinner Only. Located 300 meters away from the hotel building into the heart of rainforest experience of walking over an old Kampung "Titi Bridge" and lit pathway with the sound of the jungle and the ocean in the background on the way to this very unique Malay traditional "Kampung Style" restaurant. Open-air Malay House style with Malay and Indian cuisine. 2 Styles of seating; either Nobat- where you can experience dining by sitting on the floor or normal dining table.

Activities

There is a wide range of luxurious and elegant dining options at the Andaman. 'The Restaurant' serves breakfast, lunch and dinner offering a selection of continental cuisine and Asian specialities in an elegant but relaxed atmosphere. There is also the Poolside Terrace and Beach bar offering a more casual dining experience. The hotel additionally offers guests an exquisite Japanese restaurant featuring an extensive a la carte menu and two Teppanyalki counters. For something a little more special there is the Gulai House which is a secluded restaurant located 300m away from the main hotel building deep in the heart of the exotic rainforest. This restaurant is a unique and tradition Malay Kampung style restaurant where you can relax to the sounds of the jungle while sampling the most delectable gourmet delicacies. The Lobby also serves light snacks and refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere with a live band playing. Other facilities available on the resort include an 18 hole championship golf course, fitness centre, various water ports, trekking, mountain biking, themed nights, billiards and games room, business centre, function rooms and a kids club.

Transfers:
Seat in 7 seater coach upgrade to Private Car £17 Per Person Each Way/Limo £24 Per Person Each Way. Transfers times from Airport to Hotel 30 minutes.
