A Mediterranean-style resort with terracotta roofs and elements of traditional Arabian architecture, this beachfront hotel with its 350 multilingual staff offers a combination of timeless elegance and local hospitality spread over a total area of 1,300 square meters. Vacationing guests seeking relaxation in the hotel’s tropical garden and beach are as welcome as business guests, who utilize the hotel’s fully equipped business center. The hotel features a 350-metre landscaped beach, a tropical garden and three swimming pools including a children’s pool with water slides. The Balinese-inspired spa offers more than 40 Balinese and European treatments. Guest can choose tailor-made packages from the range of treatments available in a total of 10 treatment rooms, two of which are allocated for ladies-only treatment. The spa recently introduced the Carita product line and beauty treatments.
Accommodations
This hotel has 138 guestrooms, all of which have private balconies or patios overlooking the pool and garden area. The architecture is an elegant combination of Moorish and Islamic design. The over-sized bathrooms with marble fittings have separate shower rooms and offer steam-proof mirrors.
Restauratns & Bars
Amaseena - Situated in the lush gardens and terraces of the hotel, this restaurant offers al fresco dining options under Bedouin tents during the cooler months of the year. Arabic food and the traditional sheesha, or waterpipe, is served at dinner only.
La Baie - The hotel's elegant signature restaurant offers progressive European cuisine in a stylish and intimate atmosphere with a touch of Arabia. A la carte dinner from 7 PM until 11 PM.
Splendido - This restaurant is designed in a contemporary New York style with an eclectic mix of wood, copper and marble, and enjoys an expansive terrace view of the sea. Contemporary Italian cuisine is offered for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Gulf Pavillon - Healthy snacks, innovative sandwiches, grilled seafood and light dishes are served for lunch until sunset at this casual poolside restaurant located between palm trees.
Activities
The recreation facilities include four tennis courts, two squash courts and gym as well as three swimming pools and a children’s pool with water slide. Nearby activities include sand skiing, desert driving, paragliding, dhow cruises, sailing, bird watching and falconry tours, and can be arranged from the hotel. Four championship golf courses, two of which are only five minutes’ drive from The Ritz-Carlton Dubai (the Montgomerie Golf Club and Emirates Golf Club), are in the vicinity. In addition, guests can also visit the nearby Mall of the Emirates and ski slope, or the IBN Battuta Mall.
