Lush tropical plants, winding paths and white sandy beaches nestled along the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon all help to create this island paradise. The Great Ceremonial House will welcome you with more than seventy five species of tropical plants, while the music of the South Seas and the lava rock waterfall all immerse your senses in the sights and sounds of the South Pacific. The two and three story buildings called longhouses are scattered throughout this tropical resort like islands of the South Pacific from which they are named. The 853 luxury guest rooms continue the relaxing island atmosphere with a laid back design of wicker furnishings and canopy beds.

Garden View offering a view of the lush tropical landscape and pathways, although some may face the parking lot. Lagoon View features a view of the waters of Seven Seas Lagoon, but not necessarily of The Magic Kingdom. It will not be possible to reserve a room that will guarantee you a view of the Magic Kingdom. If this is part of your dream vacation, then what you need to do is first request a room with a lagoon view and then request a room that will allow for a view of the Magic Kingdom. Suites are available in the Tonga longhouse. Suites are available in garden and lagoon views. Standard rooms measure slightly over 400 square feet and are furnished with two queen beds, an armoire, a table, two chairs and a day bed. They accommodate four to five people. Not all rooms have balconies so if this is important to you be sure to make your request known when you make reservations.

'Ohana - 'Ohana, which means family, is a friendly and fun dining experience. The children may be asked to take part in a hula-hoop contest or coconut race. Also, on cue from one of the strolling entertainers who will ask for a sign from the gods the chef will pour a liquid on the fire causing flames to shoot up.

A quiet pool is located between the Samoa and Tokelau longhouses. The Nanea Volcano themed pool with it’s water slide, kids water play area, underwater music and a zero entry area with a pool wheelchair available is located between the Soma and the resorts marina. In addition sunbathers may enjoy the white-sand beach on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon. There is no hot tub available. A marina offers boat rentals that include sailboats, large pontoon boats and smaller water mice. Children may enjoy a playground located near the main themed pool. Special Activities for children include crafts such as daily lei and bracelet making, scrape booking, storytelling times and Disney trivia nightly. Arcade video games and snacks are available at Moana Mickey’s Arcade. The Neverland Club The Polynesian Resort provides supervised children's center. Kids 4-12 are welcomed (children must be toilet trained). Open from 4:30pm until midnight. Cost is $8/hour/child includes kiddy dinner. Pagers are available for a small refundable deposit. Reservations recommended.
