The estate has features such as two swimming pools, a tennis court, a spa and a fine dining restaurant. Dine in the old world splendour of the original manor house, where The Retreat Kitchen’s executive chef creates a daily menu of gourmet fare, combining a symphony of fresh ingredients from local markets. Spend the day luxuriating in the spa, relaxing in the sauna and being revitalized with a deep massage.

Guests can choose from a selection of room types, ranging from the elegant Earls Dyke Manor, the contemporary Deck House or The Villa. All guestrooms come equipped with a refreshment station with tea & coffee making facilities, satellite TV, telephone and laptop facility, DVD player, mini-bar, hair dryer, separate bath and shower, in-room safe and air-conditioning.

The Retreat Kitchen - Although the flavours and tastes will be shouting South African, your feelings will say farm, family and feast, and all the associated comfort will enfold you in dishes such as oxtail, venison ragu, roast chicken or vegetable broth. From breakfast through to lunch and dinner, small bites and picnic baskets – a delicious experience awaits you!

Wine Cellar - There is a wine cellar located at the entrance to the dining room that takes you down to a temperature-controlled cellar. Wine racks swell with bottles of exquisite estate wines from local wine regions and can be appreciated from a tasting table within the cellar. Camps Bay Retreat has teamed with local wine partners to offer guests a remarkable wine list from a region known the world over for its quality produce.

Guests at The Camps Bay Retreat are treated to a solar heated pool at the Manor House, a cool pool at the Deck House and mountain pool in the gardens. Deck chairs surround the pools, with parasols for shade and beach towels are provided at the poolside.

The mountain pool on the lower reaches of the gardens was created to appear as natural as possible, as though flowing out of the earth. The main pool is the size of a large swimming pool and has flowing water trickling into it, provided by a run off from the mountain.

The Cigar Lounge & Library offers over 100 movies to choose from on DVD, glorious reads, a classic music selection, cigars and a crackling log fire, you may find yourself making excuses to stay in, every night!

The Camps Bay Retreat has one of the last remaining private tennis courts on the Atlantic Seaboard with great ocean views. There are competition standard floodlights for evening games. Reception will gladly assist with your court bookings and racquets and balls are available at reception.

There is a fitness cabin on the property, equipped with an exercise bike and free weights. In addition, the hotel can further arrange a yoga or pilates session.

Squash courts are available at the Camps Bay Sports Club of which Camps Bay Retreat is a member. Reception will gladly assist with your court bookings.

Located at one of the most beautiful venues in Cape Town, the spa at the Camps Bay Retreat is surrounded by trees, foliage, bird life and fertile scenery. Offset by the depth of the lush valley beneath it, the spa is perched on a verge, with views that capture the essence of a relaxing wellness experience. The centre boasts two indoor treatment rooms, a double outdoor treatment room, a manicure station, sauna and a shower for use before and after treatments. There is a sparkling blue solar heated pool situated at the spa, as well as a tranquil mountain pool just a short walk away.
