Description / Location

Kahana is a relaxed beachfront community quietly situated between its more famous west Maui neighbors, Kaanapali and Kapalua Resorts.  For those who have discovered Kahana's understated charm, its appeal is undeniable.
From your balcony at Outrigger Royal Kahana the sweeping ocean views seem like yours alone. The islands of Molokai and Lanai loom on the horizon and beckon from afar.  And from December through April, there's no better place on the entire coast to see whales spouting and breaching offshore.

Accommodations

Spread over two, 12-story wings, Outrigger Royal Kahana’s 235 condominiums and studios are individually decorated in contemporary island decor. Sliding glass doors open to spacious, furnished lanais. Amenities include washers and dryers, DVD players or VCRs, in-room safes, and dial-up Internet access (surcharge). Kitchens include refrigerators, microwaves, stoves, coffeemakers, cookware, and dinnerware.

Activities

A sundeck houses a freeform splash pool, four barbecue grills, and a poolside cabana that can be rented for private parties. Guests also enjoy two lighted tennis courts, a Ping-Pong table, shuffleboard, and a fitness center with free weights, cardiovascular and weight machines, and a sauna.
The Royal Kahana is adjacent to a sandy swimming beach, and whale watching is available in winter. The five championship golf courses of the Kapalua and Kaanapali Resorts are within three miles. Ocean activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, catamaran cruising, and kayaking are also available at the resorts (surcharge). Sight-seeing and whale-watching cruises, deep-sea fishing excursions, and water-sports rentals are available at Lahaina Harbor, 7.5 miles away.
