The fabulous Hawaiian Islands are a string of over 100 islands in the empty North Pacific Ocean.
The main island is Oahu, with the capital Honolulu and adjacent Waikiki Beach. Maui is the second most visited island with its beach centres of Kaanapali, Kihei and Wailea all on the west coast, as well as the charming town of Lahaina.
Kauai is the garden island, great for exploring and with wild coastlines and secluded beaches as well as the popular beach resort destinations of Poipu in the south and the glamorous purpose built Princeville in the north.
The Big Island of Hawaii offers dramatic scenery including snow capped mountains and active volcanoes, as well as the beach centres of Kailua Kona and the mega-resort complexes of the Kohala all on the dry west coast
