4.5* Treasure Island At The Mirage
 

Description / Location

Originally a family-style venue, this hotel's now “edgier” personality is most popular with adults who pursue an active lifestyle. Companion properties include the neighboring Mirage and the opulent Bellagio, farther south on the Strip. An elevated tram leaves for the Mirage every four minutes. A pedestrian bridge connects the hotel to the Fashion Show Mall featuring Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's Home, Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus. A new spa will open in late 2006. The current facilities will continue to operate until further notice. Pool cabanas can be rented for the day and come furnished with a television and telephone. The freeform pool is heated, and the spa tub accommodates 50 adults. The health spa offers massages, beauty services, and body and facial treatments. Included are fitness facilities, steam rooms, and spa tubs.

Accommodations

The Treasure Island Hotel and Casino offers 2,885 guestrooms and suites on 36 floors. Accommodations have views of either the Las Vegas Strip or the mountains. Each room features floor-to-ceiling windows and draped canopies over beds with reading lights. Lamps illuminate floral prints on walls, and other decorative elements include crown moldings, and plush fabrics. High-speed television Internet access is available for a surcharge.

Restaurants & Bar

Kahunaville - This restaurant-chain branch offers tropical drinks and casual fare such as ribs, steaks, salads, and pastas. The dining room features a periodic fountain show. In the bar/lounge, bartenders present juggling shows, DJs play dance music, and dueling pianos perform nightly. Seating extends onto a poolside terrace.
Buccaneer Bay Restaurant - A gourmet seafood restaurant with romantic atmosphere overlooking the Strip.
Francesco's - Surrounded by paintings produced by entertainers such as Tony Curtis, Phyllis Diller, and Tony Bennett, diners here enjoy family-style Italian cooking.
Social House - Opening late July, 2006 (subject to change). Asian menu; sushi bar. Intimate indoor and outdoor patio seating overlooking Sirens Cove and the Strip. The restaurant will convert into an ultra lounge atmosphere in conjunction with Tangerine Lounge & Nightclub in the late evenings. During this transformation, Tangerine Lounge outdoor deck will be closed through mid-June, 2006, and the Sports Book will have limited seating.

Activities

Sirens of TI - This complimentary production portrays a clash between a group of beautiful, tempting sirens and a band of renegade pirates. Music, dance, and seduction are combined for nightly action-movie style entertainment. The Treasure Island Poker Room is now open (April, 2006) and features an intimate lounge atmosphere. Gaming options include eight non-smoking poker tables, seven 42" widescreen TV's, state-of-the-art game tracking systems, and player "pagers" (for those wishing to enjoy the rest of Treasure Island while waiting for their spot to open up at the poker table). Live poker games include Texas Hold'em, Omaha High, Crazy Pineapple and others with limits from $2 to $15 as well as no limit games with blinds from $1 to $10.
