Description / Location

Located in a residential neighborhood on the Upper East Side--with no surrounding skyscrapers--the Bentley draws mostly leisure travelers with its unobstructed views of the city, East River, and 59th Street Bridge. Witty decorative touches appear throughout the hotel, including a large stainless-steel “vase” sculpture, a mobile with scraps of paper reading “Have a nice day” in various languages, and room number signs embellished with tiny artificial flower bouquets. A complimentary 24-hour espresso machine and a selection of magazines and newspapers are available in a cozy library adjacent to the lobby. The hotel also offers on-site parking and concierge services at the front desk. Located in the East River between Manhattan and Queens, two-mile-long Roosevelt Island is home to a small town of about 8,000. The island includes a a farmhouse built in 1796 and a church and lighthouse dating from the late 1800s. Visitors can take a fun and scenic five-minute tram ride to the island via the aerial tramway at 59th Street and Second Avenue station, five blocks from the hotel.

Rooftop Restaurant and Bar - Wonderful views of the East River, the 59th Street Bridge, and the city lights are available from this restaurant. Menu items include Penne Vodka, a blend of vodka, cheese, tomato, and sweet cream. Mojitos and martinis are the bar's specialty.
A complimentary cappuccino bar is open 24 hours a day. Room service is also available.

Activities

After a day of shopping or museum-hopping, the hotel's library with 24-hour complimentary cappuccino bar is a welcome retreat. King bed requests are confirmed for all reservations. Requests for two double beds will be on a first-come, first-served basis for reservations of two people in a room. Reservations booked through this Web site with three or four people in a room will receive two double beds. All occupancy upgrades at the hotel will be charged to the guest.
