The Republic of Maldives is an island nation consisting of a group of atolls in the Indian Ocean, about 700 kilometers south-west of Sri Lanka. The Maldives Archipelago is about 800 km wide and is home to a local population of approximately 270,000 indigenous people who live in about 200 islands. Of these islands, about 88 are developed as tourist resorts. The Vadoo island resort is situated just 5 miles from Malé International Airport, approximately 15 minutes by speed boat or 45 minutes by dhoni (Motorized boat). It is located in the South Malé atoll facing the Vadoo Channel, which is famous for its spectacular marine life. The island resort is a perfect place to enjoy the world underwater, a memorable honeymoon and now, a healthy Ayurveda vacation.

Vadoo Island Resort Activities

Scuba Diving - Vadoo Diving Club explores the attractive diving spots in both the North and South atoll, close to the resort. Diving points are chosen according to weather patterns, seasonal changes and the skill level of the divers. If you are not an experienced diver or diving enthusiast (yet), you can enjoy the scenic under water world by snorkeling.
Night Fishing - While watching the sun set, try your patience and luck at fishing. You may also have your catch cooked according to your preference at the restaurant.
Volleyball and Football - If you are looking for some rigorous but fun activities, you can enjoy playing volleyball or football on the beach.
Indoor games and reading - Chess, Pool, Backgammon, game cards and a collection of books are available for your enjoyment.
Ayurveda - Authentic Ayurveda treatment and Herbal therapies available at the "Barberyn Ayurveda Health Centre"
Yoga - Yoga introducton sessions take place at 6 AM & 6 PM. These sessions are free for resident guests.
