With a tropical rainforest climate, the Boca Raton area on Florida’s East coast is undoubtedly one of the best destinations for holidaymakers. The place is an outdoor heaven, boasting some of the best beaches and wonderful parks in Florida.
The name Boca Raton originates from the Spanish language, and literally means “the mouth of a mouse”. Either way, today Boca Raton is a place that successfully melts three distinct life styles: urban, beach, and park life. Top that with the wonderful weather, and you have all the ingredients necessary for a truly memorable holiday!

Things to do whilst on holiday

With so much on offer other than sunbathing you will find it hard to fit everything in!

A trip to the Everglades will let you enjoy an eco-exploration in a custom airboat where you can take an adventurous ride through the swampy marshes, admiring some of the local wildlife from long winged birds to turtles and alligators basking in the Florida sun!

Undoubtedly the two-mile stretch of isolated beaches are one of the main attractions, but if you are looking to take a break from sunbathing why not cool off with a trip to the Coconut Cove Water Park. Here you can make a splash down one of the many waterslides - a great fun day out for the whole family.

Red Reef Park is a fantastic place to teach a child how to snorkel. The park has a nice reef within close distance to the shore but still boasts crevices full of tropical fish and home to turtles and lots of other reef life.

A trip to the South Inlet Beach Park really is the destination for all your watersport needs. From fishing to sailboarding and windsurfing to kayaking you will find it all here. For some drier land-based activities, the park also has volleyball areas, playgrounds and stunning nature areas.
