Bahia Resort Overview

Situated on a private peninsula in Mission Bay, this sprawling resort exudes Moroccan ambiance within view of the San Diego skyline. The layout requires quite a bit of walking, but most guests are vacationers with plenty of time to stroll the pathways and sandy beach. Parking is free and plentiful. Water--both saltwater and fresh--provides abundant options for entertainment and relaxation. Among the attractions: a seal pond (home to an active Harbor seal), a serene private beach with children's playground, and a large swimming pool and spa sheltered within a pink stucco oasis. Two sternwheelers, docked at the marina, take guests on cocktail cruises and jaunts to the nearby Catamaran Resort Hotel. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the Bahia Resort Hotel.

Bahia Resort Activities

The hotel offers outdoor swimming pools, a private beach, two tennis courts, spa tubs, and watersport rentals. A children's playground is also available on site. Situated on what is reputedly the world’s largest aquatic park, Mission Bay offers a vast array of water sports, including pedal boats, kayaks, waverunners, ski boats, sail boats, and catamarans. Most equipment can be rented at the resort. Free clinics as well as lessons (for a fee) are available for most activities. The hotel concierge is happy to make arrangements.
